
Troy is the Manager of the Cherokee County Recycling Center since his appointment to that position 7 years ago from the Cherokee County Marshals Office. As a retired Law Enforcement Officer, Troy has served various agencies for 22 years after his service in the United States Army. A 2006 graduate of the Columbus State University Management Program, Troy has worked in several leadership positions to include Lieutenant of Special Operations, Director of State Compliance and Certification, as well as Commander of Field Training. Troy is a nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician and is currently working towards his private pilot license and United States Coast Guard Captain’s License.
Currently Troy serves on the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Going Green Committee and as an advisor to the Keep Cherokee Beautiful Board. Troy’s agency, the Recycling Center, adopted and regularly cleans a section of Blalock Road. Troy and his wife, Courtney, married in 2010 and have 3 children. Outside of work, Troy enjoys working on his farm and planning his after-retirement travels.
